About Post 124
What We Do
Post 124 of the American Legion serves Apex, North Carolina and beyond. We support veterans while also the community of Apex through various programs and initiatives. Below are some of the "Things We Do"
Outreach
Home Bound Veterans - We support home bound veterans with visits and fellowship. If you are a home bound veteran in the Apex area, please contact the post using the contact tab.
Service Officer Support - Post 124 has a dedicated Service Officer who can help veterans navigate benefits and act as a liaison with the Veterans Administration (VA). For more information on how we can help please contact the post using the contact tab.
Beers and Banter - Every second Tuesday of the month at 7 pm we gather at Southern Peak Brewery in Apex to share a beer, soda and share time, stories and connect with Veterans.
Community
Color Guard - From leading the Apex Christmas parade through presenting the colors on Veterans Day, the Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Patriots Day Post 124 is active leading the way!
Quarterly Adopt-A-Highway - Post 124 is proud to be part of Apex, and walks the walk cleaning up their dedicated section of Apex Barbecue Road.
Flag Retirement - Quarterly Post 124 respectfully honors the American Flags and retires them in a ceremony at a local fire station. If you have a flag to be retired, there are Post 124 Drop Boxes at every Fire Station in the Town of Apex.
Blood Drive - Working with the American Red Cross Post 124 conducts a quarterly blood drive open to all.
