The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization

 

Our purpose is to enhance the well-being of America's veterans, their families, our military, and our communities by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.

 

Today, membership stands at nearly 2 million in more than 13,000 posts worldwide.

Service Officer Support
VA Benefits

Are you or a loved one dealing with a Service Related Disability? Accredited American Legion service officers are specially trained to provide expert support, free of charge, to veterans and their families which includes assistance with application for VA disability benefits.
